V.I. Weather: Mainly Dry and Breezy During the Day

Mainly dry weather conditions are expected across the local area today. An area of low level moisture will move across the region tonight, increasing the chances of brief rain showers. Breezy conditions are forecast with winds to 20 miles per hour, with higher gusts at times. High temperatures will range in the low to mid 80’s.

Hazardous seas to seven feet are forecast across the local offshore Caribbean and Atlantic waters and, the waters of the Anegada Passage. Elsewhere, seas will average six feet and easterly winds are expected on the order of 15-20 knots (17-23 miles per hour).

There is a moderate risk of rip currents across most of the territorial beaches and coastlines today.
