Asta Maria Klyvert James of Estate Anna’s Hope died on Thursday, Feb. 14. She was 91 years old.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara James-Petersen; sons: Gerard L. James II, Emmeth James and Kelsey G. James; adopted daughter, Benita Brickhouse; grandchildren: Alita M. Petersen, Leah R. Petersen, Kelvin R. Petersen Jr., Jenee’ L. James, Jenelle L. James, Jeilene N. James, Jeidri C. James, Malik C. James, Shanel J. James, Aarielle James and Kelsey V. James; and great-grandchildren: Alauna K. Cazaubon, Ayden N. Bascombe, Azaria L. J. Lyons, Uric A. Smith III, Ayanna J. Pharoah, Ari J. Parrilla, J’Nique L. Richardson, Khaliq L. Richardson, Aahmari J. G. Blair, Alijah J. Holness and Alston C. N. Phipps Jr.
She is also survived by nieces: Laurel K. Jackson, Debbie Klyvert, Elaine Springer, Rita Johnson, Marise James-Paul, Danielle Ruth, Rena James, Lynn James and Jana James; nephews: Robert Klyvert, Patrick James, Ullmont L. James Jr., Russell James, Dodson James, Neville James, Marvin James and Raydell James; daughters-in-law: Valerie James and Brenda Lee James; son-in-law, Kelvin R. Petersen Sr.; brother-in-law, Chet Abby; sisters-in-law: Maria A. Klyvert, Theresa H. James and Dorene H. James; and godchild, Jeniece O’Reilly.

The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, March 1, at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Christiansted Cemetery.
