Dry Wednesday, Potential Passing Showers Thursday and Friday

A ridge of high pressure and a drier air mass with Saharan dust is expected to inhibit widespread shower activity once again today. However, a small surge in low level moisture will gradually increase the potential for passing showers across the Virgin Islands, especially between Thursday and Friday morning. A more unstable pattern is expected during the weekend, and the potential for scattered showers with brief, heavy rainfall will increase
across the region.

Across the regional waters, seas to five feet are expected to prevail for the next several days. Light southeast trade winds will continue through the end of the week.

A moderate risk of rip currents is forecast to continue across the northern beaches of the islands through the weekend
