An increased level of moisture in the atmosphere combined with an upper level trough may lead to an enhanced potential for shower activity in the late morning, early afternoon hours. Temperatures will again top out in the upper 80s with a prevailing easterly wind of 15-20 miles per hour.
Choppy seas of three to six feet with easterly winds at 20 knots (23 miles per hour) are expected today. There is a high risk of rip currents along the eastern tip of St. Croix, and a moderate risk of rip currents elsewhere across the Virgin Islands.
