One or two showers may affect the Virgin Islands today ahead of a drier and more stable weather pattern that should prevail from Thursday through the weekend. By early next week, there will be an increased potential for shower development. Today’s high temperatures s will reach the middle to upper 80s with a prevailing east to northeast wind of 5-10 miles per hour.
A northeasterly swell will continue to move across the local waters through today causing hazardous seas. Small craft operations should exercise caution across the Atlantic waters and local passages. There is a risk of rip currents for some of the northern beaches today.
