A fair weather pattern will prevail across the Virgin Islands today as a strong high pressure system in the mid-levels of the atmosphere promotes stable conditions. With moisture levels way below normal, the potential for rain showers is just about non-existent. Sunny skies are forecast across the islands for most of the day with an east to southeast wind of 10 -15 miles per hour. Daytime highs will top off in the upper 80s.
Across the regional waters, a northeasterly swell of 4-5 feet is forecast to gradually subside today. Marine conditions will improve by mid-week.
There is a moderate risk of rip currents across the northwest coast of St. Thomas, and the east and north coasts of St Croix.
