Milton R. Johannes Dies at 90

Milton R. Johannes Milton R. Johannes of Estate Belvedere La Valley died on June 9. He was 90 years old.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Almead Petersen; daughters: Leola Milligan and Phoenix Chrsitian-Plaskett; and stepson, Roosevelt Parson.
He is survived by his daughters: Elenor Johannes Brathwaite, Delorette Johannes, Sylvenita Brooks and Jennifer Johannes-Bass; sons: Melvin Johannes and Prince Alexander Johannes; stepsons: Aubrey, Raymond, Ricardo, Kenneth and Magella Milligan; sisters: Ann Johannes and Aramintha Francis; brother, Ezekiel Johannes; daughter-in-law, Alice Johannes; and grandchildren: Margaret P. Christian-Salle, Tonya S Brathwaite-Kinney, Rasheed A. Brathwaite, Renee Brathwaite, Howard L. M. Milton Jr, Ashley Brooks-Paulson, Nawy Puth, Shanikah Johannes, Romellow Cunningham, Judith Johannes, Melvin Johannes Jr., Michelle Johannes, Kenisha Johannes, Tradicia J. Johannes-Greene, Thomas and Sharon, Nicole J. Bass and Joseph E. Bass Jr.
He is also survived by great-grandchildren: Trenelle, Michael, Anthony, Ella-Grace, Adeena, Zion, Serenity, Eliza Grace, Faith, Aamir, Jesse, Alexis, Brielle, Joshua, Jordan, Makila, Alkima, Minora, Obediah, Alicia, Michelle, Felicia, Jamal, Tiashia, Reba, Reshanti, Ray Jr., Amirah, Ananka, Laureleen and Prince’s daughter; sister-in-law, Anna Johannes; nieces: Magaline Hobson, Adelia Samuel, Melinda Johannes, Merrill, Jacklyn, Claudette Johannes and Helen Isles; and nephews: Arthur Woodley, Larry and Norman Francis, Emmeth and Walter Daniel, Douglas, Otis, Myron, Emrick and Halvor Johannes.
Other survivors include great nieces and nephews: too numerous to mention; close friends: (just to name a few) the Francis family, Arthur Woodley and family, Emmeth Daniel and family, Hobson family, Acoy family, Isles family, Samuel family, Cornelius family, Petersen family, Milligan family, Gaskin family, Rock family, Henry family, Luz A James and family, the entire La’Vallee Community and many more too numerous to mention; special friends: Paul Samuel, Anthony Smith, Sylvia Sajous, Louise Boucher, Douglas Johannes and Kacy Harrison; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, at Friedensfeld Midland Moravian Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
