UVI Student Arrested for Disobeying Orders

UVI student Devon C. Davis, also known as "Thug," was arrested and charged with interfering with an officer discharging his duties Saturday morning near McDonald’s in Lockhart Gardens.
Davis, 20, was arrested 10:45 a.m. Saturday after he refused to follow an officer’s order to leave the area.
While in police custody, Davis reportedly told police he had been shot twice in the left calf at about 10:45 p.m. the previous night in Estate Pollyberg by an unknown assailant in a white Toyota Corolla. Preliminary investigation by police revealed that Davis did not seek medical attention and that 911 did not receive any calls of shots fired in the area.
Bail for Davis was set at $500 and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
The case is being followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives.
In other police news Tanasha Fleming, 24, was arrested and charged Friday with aggravated assault and battery for punching a police officer in Estate Contant.
Bail for Fleming was set at $1,000 and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
