Nereida Santos Sanchez died on June 9.
She is survived by her spouse, Justino Sanchez; daughters: Minerva Garcia and Marisol Ventura; sons: Luis A. Ventura II, Rolando Torres, Victor M. Santos and Francisco F. Torres; and grandchildren: Yashira M. Ventura, Lisa S. Ventura, Luisa A. Ventura, Maria Genesis Garcia, Shamar Simmonds, Kyshira C. Simmonds, Luis A. Ventura III, Maria del Pilar Garcia, Leroy “Dido” Simmonds III, Carmen R. Garcia, Franchesca M.Torres, Angelica M. Torres, Steve Ventura, Sulaica M. Torres, Ezekiel M. Parrilla, Charelys M. Soto, Karla M. Torres, Aaliyah N. Torres, Leroy Torres and Kayla N. Torres.
She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; brother, Francisco Santos Jr.; sister, Francisca Santos Rivera; nieces: Carmen M. Santos, Graciela Rivera, Lisette S. Christian, Arcadia J. Remy and Marilee Santos; nephews: Luis A. Santos and Hector L. Rivera Jr.; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 3-5 p.m., Monday, June 19, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel. A second viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Company Street, Christiansted. Interment will be at the Kingshill Cemetery.
