Crime of the Week: Crime Stoppers Seeks Tips on Homicides

The anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, seeks the public’s help to resolve two recent homicides.

ST. THOMAS – t 10:48 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, 911 received a call of multiple shots fired in the Hospital Ground area on St. Thomas. Police traveled to Hospital Ground and discovered a black male on the ground in the area of “Glass Battle Alley.”

The man appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound to his body; he was transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center via ambulance, where he was taken into surgery.

On Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at approximately 5:05 a.m. the man succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as 34-year-old Kareem Thomas.

ST. CROIX – At about 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, the lifeless bodies of two teenagers were discovered in the Castle Burke area on St. Croix. Stephanie Parris, 17-years old, of Castle Burke was found on the ground near a heavily tinted black Nissan Altima. Inside the car police found the body of Dale Roberson, 19, of Morningstar. Both victims had died of gunshot wounds.
