St. Croix Central H.S. Teams Are Varsity Invitational Basketball Tournament Champions

The Virgin Islands Department of Education congratulates the St. Croix Central High School (CHS) Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Teams for their outstanding performance in the CHS Varsity Invitational Basketball Tournament held from Feb. 15-18. Both teams emerged victorious in thrilling championship matches against Ivanna Eudora Kean High School (IEKHS) from St. Thomas.

In the boys’ championship game, CHS triumphed over IEKHS with a score of 59 to 55, with Jalen Greenidge earning the titles of Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Top Scorer. Similarly, in the girls’ championship game, CHS secured victory with a score of 22 to 15 against IEKHS, with A’Nesha Deterville being recognized as the MVP and Top Scorer.

Additionally, the Department of Education commends Julien Loewenstein and Inesia Jones for their exemplary sportsmanship, receiving the Sportsmanship Awards for the boys’ and girls’ divisions, respectively.
