Important: SNAP Documents Are Due to Secure August Benefits

SNAP: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

If a SNAP client has received mail from the V.I. Department of Human Services (DHS) SNAP Offices about completing a recertification application, periodic report or letter requesting additional information, that person should pay attention to the due dates on each document received.

If the recertification application, periodic report or letter requesting additional information are not received by the due dates, a client’s benefits would not be automatically uploaded to that client’s card, and this may result in the case being closed.

For first-time applicants, ensure that your application packets are complete, including all mandatory documents, and that you have duly signed the application. SNAP understands the significance of these benefits for a household, and it wants to make sure that every eligible recipient receives them promptly. To avoid any disruptions in benefits, please act promptly and adhere to the specified deadlines.
