The committee has scheduled a hearing to receive testimony and updates regarding the progress and challenges associated with the upcoming 175th Anniversary of the Emancipation Celebration. The committee will receive information from representatives of the 175th Emancipation Commemoration Committee, local government agencies, committees and commissions with jurisdiction and roles over the 175th Emancipation Celebration, and other organizations and stakeholders relevant to this historic event.

BLOCK I

10 a.m. – Noon

Updates and status of preparations for the 175th Emancipation Commemoration, including reporting from the sub-committees, timelines, tasks, roles and responsibilities as well as any challenges that the committee is facing.

LUNCH

Noon – 1 p.m.

BLOCK II

1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Updates from Virgin Islands Government agencies with jurisdiction, roles and responsibilities over the 175th Emancipation Celebration and how they plan to assist the 175th Emancipation Commemoration Committee.

BLOCK III

3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Updates from stakeholders and organizations associated with the 175th Emancipation Celebration and how they plan to assist the 175th Emancipation Commemoration Committee.
