At about 1:14 p.m. Saturday, officers of the V.I. Police Department’s Special Operations Bureau arrested Daniel M. Ramos, age 20, of Estate Glynn on St. Croix and charged him with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.

According to the police report, officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in which Ramos was a passenger. During the course of the stop, officers found a bag containing more than a pound of marijuana.

Ramos admitted to owning the bag and its contents, and was placed under arrest as a result.

Ramos’ bail was set at $7,500, which he was unable to post. He was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his advice of rights hearing.
