While the U.S. Virgin Islands’ public schools are closed to limit exposure to the novel coronavirus, burglars robbed three elementary schools on St. Croix.
Alfredo Andrews, Claude O. Markoe and Pearl B. Larsen Elementary schools were recently broken into. The V.I. Police Department is asking the public for help by supplying information regarding these burglaries.
ST. CROIX: At around 7:47 p.m. July 21, 2019, St. Croix 911 emergency call center received a call of shots fired on the Queen Mary Highway and the American Red Cross, Castle Coakley. VIPD Officers responded to the scene and discovered an unresponsive black male with multiple gunshots wounds to the body.
The victim, who was later identified by family members as, 28- years-old Rabbhi Moquote, succumbed to his injuries. This incident remains an active investigation and the VIPD Criminal Investigations Bureau asked for the public’s help with any information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible for his death.
