Judith Leona Halliday Dies at 66

Judith Leona Halliday

Judith Leona Halliday of Beach Road, Nevis, who resides in Grove Place, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, died at the age 66. The sad event took place on May 17.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alwin Halliday; and brother, Egbert Halliday.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Claristine Halliday; children: Vaughan Halliday, Arleen Greene and Denzil Halliday; grandchildren: Kimberly Freeman, Gregory Greene, Nathaniel Greene, Nicholas Greene, Alexandre Halliday and Rondo Halliday; honoree grandchildren: Bryson Mays and Matthew Mays; great-grandchild: Anthony Freeman; sisters: Hyacinth Parris and Karen Williams; honoree sister, Lornette Esdaile; and brothers: Orville Richards, Arthur Halliday, Bernard Hyman, Stanley Halliday, Anthony Halliday, Raymond Halliday and Ron Esdaile.

She is also survived by sisters-in-law: Lucina Richards, Marilyn Halliday, Dora Hyman, Dawn Halliday, Juliana Halliday and Dwain Esdaile; nieces: Glennis Vlaun, Sharon Richards, Jamila Richards, Yvette Parris, Lesley Tucker, Jessica Halliday, Fayola Halliday, Samantha Patrick, Kenisha Halliday, Simona O’Garro, Theresa Lake, Shoya Lawrence, Nzingha Esdaile and Ayanna Esdaile; and nephews: Cecil Richards, Freddy Richards, Frankly Hull, Dale Parris, Dwight Parris, Bernardo Hyman, Valando Hyman, Devante Williams, Malik Williams, Tyrin Browne and Jafari Esdaile.

Other survivors include cousins: the Powell family, the Nesbitt family, the Halliday and Thompson families of Brown Pasture, Nevis; other relatives and friends: Zabelta, Eneka, Ardrey, Mavis, Beach Road family, Grove Place Community, Boissiere family, Lawaetz family, Cranston family, Carlton Independent Living Association, VI Transportation, St. Luke AME Church and Rhema Praise Christian Center, Kentucky; as well as many more friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

The viewing will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, at St. Luke AME Church, Grove Place, St. Croix. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
