Khamali Khamasi Barker Dies at 39

Khamali Khamasi Barker

Khamali Khamasi Barker of Estate Calquohoun died on April 27. He was 39 years old.

He is survived by his mother, Annette Krigger; father, Douglas Barker; stepfather, Lucien Spencer; grandfather, Lauritz Acoy; sisters: Melissa “Nikki” Lake, Annia Degourville and Nigeria Barker; nieces: Mellisha Barker and Janisha Lake; nephews: J’quan Lake and Kyrie Joseph; great nieces: Xe’nia Carrion, Kaelynn Giddings and Tierra Samuel; aunts: Terri Acoy, Melania Krigger, Demaris Ballantine Seales, Marlene Henley, Corlis Bell, Amalia Barker, Lucia Barker, Gloria Estephane and Alicia Barker; and uncles: Alvaris Krigger, Albert Krigger, Lauritz Acoy Jr., Helman Barker and Eugene O’Daniel Henley.

He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Johnson Lake; special friends: I Low, Harold Francis and Amono; special cousins: Shelva Smith, Elizabeth Estephane, Unika Pennyfeather, Saeed Henley and Akintunda Henley; other relatives: the Powell, Bascombe, Samuel, Acoy, Williams, Prentice, Krigger and Ballantine families, the Thomas family of Grove Place and the Calquohoun Community; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The family requests that those in attendance wear festive colors.
The viewing will be held at 9 a.m. and the funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, May 31, at Church of God Prophecy. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
