V.I. Forecast: Mostly Sunny

Patches of shallow low-level clouds in the prevailing easterly trade winds will continue to affect the local area this morning but will gradually diminish during the rest of the day leaving mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Limited shower activity is expected. East-northeast winds between 15-20 miles per hour should prevail with occasionally higher gusts along the coastal areas.

Choppy wind-driven seas to six feet are expected over the local offshore waters and passages, with prevailing winds of 15-20 knots (17-23 miles per hour) forecast to continue today.

From tonight through late Tuesday night, a high risk of rip currents will exist across all shorelines of the Virgin Islands.
