V.I. Forecast: More Nice Weather

A mid and upper level ridge continues to influence weather conditions across the region. The ridge is suppressing shower activity while an area of high pressure, located north of the local area, promotes breezy conditions. From time to time, low-level moisture embedded in the trades winds will move across the islands resulting in brief scattered showers.

Hazardous seas to seven feet are expected across most of the local waters. Seas may increase to eight feet during the day today. Easterly winds are forecast on the order of 15-20 knots (17-23 miles per hour).

There is a high risk of rip currents for St. Croix and St. Thomas.
