V.I. Forecast: Dry, Breezy with Choppy Seas

The combination of a building mid to upper-level ridge of high pressure and a drier than normal air mass will result in mainly dry weather conditions today. Breezy conditions with winds between 10-20 miles per hour with higher gusts are forecast today. High temperatures are expected in the mid to upper 80’s.

Choppy seas to six feet are expected mainly across the Caribbean waters with easterly winds to 20 knots (23 miles per hour). Therefore, small craft operators should exercise caution. There is a moderate risk of rip currents for the south-facing beaches of St. John and across most beaches on St. Croix.
