Gleston E. McIntosh Sr. Dies at 71

Gleston E. McIntosh Sr.

Gleston E. McIntosh Sr., also known as “Dagone,” of Estate Grove Place died on Monday, Nov. 12. He was 71 years old.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Hezikiah McIntosh and Gladys Andrews; son, Kareem McIntosh; stepfather, George Edney; sister, Elisa McIntosh; and brother, Clarence Lynch.

He is survived by his wife, Ana M. Hernandez-McIntosh; daughters: Tañia McIntosh-Guzman and Denielle McIntosh; sons: Michael McIntosh, Gleston E. McIntosh Jr. and Ramón E. McIntosh; grandchildren: Aliyah S. McIntosh, Michael Anthony McIntosh, Malik A. McIntosh, Rackell A. McIntosh, Matthew A. McIntosh, Markayla N. E. McIntosh, Trevor Valery, Taeris Guzman, Yuris Guzman, Neris Guzman, Anasia Encarnación, Emanuel O. McIntosh, Ezekiel N. McIntosh, Jaiden Self, Lauryn Bedeau and Nasheim Hardrick; sisters: Norma McIntosh-Carrell, Sonia McIntosh and Debra McIntosh-Herbert; and brothers: Leroy Henley Sr., Stanley Edwards, Kenneth McIntosh, Wendell McIntosh and Wayne McIntosh.

He is also survived by his uncle, Anselmo Andrews; mother-in-law, Felicita Guerrero Hernandez; daughters-in-law: Huong “Whitney” McIntosh and Gelisa Santiago; son-in-law, Rodieris Guzman; brothers-in-law: Luis E. Hernandez, Manuel H. Hernandez and Dino Herbert; sisters-in-law: Nurys Santa Hernandez, Xiomara Hernandez-Aquino, Mirtha H. Chooran, Lucia H. Stigger and Joan Henley; special friends and family: Floyd Petersen, Gerard Luz James II, Horsford family, McIntosh family, Mason family, Hall family, Patsy Vanbeverhoud and the Sealey family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, at Kingshill Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery Veterans Section.
