STT-STJ Flood Advisory For Monday Til Noon

Shortly after 9 a.m. the National Weather Service in San Juan issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for St. Thomas and St. John until noon Monday. Showers with isolated thunderstorms will continue to move inland affecting the local islands through at least noon. These showers and thunderstorms will result in urban flooding and possible rises along guts.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
