ARDMS Certifies Marcel L. Galiber as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certified Marcel L. Galiber in breast ultrasound on Dec. 28, 2016. He has met the rigorous qualifications for certification by the ARDMS, which is the premier credentialing organization for sonography professionals. Achievement of this certification acknowledges Galiber’s personal achievement of a highly recognized professional standard of excellence.

To earn the ARDMS credential, he met the association’s strict prerequisites including education and career-experience requirements. He also passed two comprehensive examinations: one on the physical principles underlying ultrasound diagnosis and the high-tech instruments used in ultrasound exams, and the other in the corresponding specialty area.

Galiber has been awarded a credential as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS), with a sub-specialty in breast ultrasound. He currently practices in Quantum CT in the Sunny Isle Shopping Center in Christiansted, V.I.

Commenting on his recent achievement as a new ARDMS sub-specialty registrant, Galiber said he is excited to add the breast ultrasound registry to his existing abdomen, OBGyn and registered vascular technologist (RVT) registries and expand his areas of expertise.

The examinations administered by ARDMS measure the attainment of the knowledge and experience required of those who serve the public’s health by practicing diagnostic medical sonography and/or vascular technology.
