Valme Scatliffe of Estate Smithfield died on Jan. 24.
He is survived by his brothers: Renaldo Scatliffe, Ronroy Stephens, Patrick Thomas, Herbert Thomas and Oscar Thomas. (in-laws) Dennis Howell, David Lindsey Sr. and Oliver Vaughan; and sisters: Marilyn Scatliffe, Deborah (Francis) Howell, Patricia (Thomas) Lindsey and Brigitte (Thomas) Vaughan, Alice (Santiago) Cid (special cousin) (in-laws) Maritza Stephens and Diane Thomas.

He is also survived by nephews: Ghoumbo Stephens, Hassan Scatliffe, Joel Stephens, Dwayne, Duane and Dwight Howell, Christian and Jordan Sawyer, Shawn Vaughan, David Lindsey Jr., Ozzie, Oscari and Askai Thomas, Malachi Thomas and Ky-Vante Thomas; nieces: Regina Scatliffe, Ebony Stephens, Sherilyn (Richards) Moses, Aquanette James, Leslee Howell and Ky-Shanna Thomas.

Other survivors include special family and friends: Antonio Cid, Arthur Thomas, Anselmo Cruse and Jerrilyn Morris; as well as cousins, great nephews, great nieces and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
