The executive management of Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center (JFL) honored 60 employees Thursday evening during the hospital’s annual Recognition and Service Awards ceremony. The honorees were awarded for their years of service, and employees with five-year increments up to 25 years were presented with certificates, pins and plaques for their dedication to JFL, as well as their continued commitment to quality health care for the territory’s residents and visitors.
Dr. Valdemar A. Hill Jr., JFL chief of human resources, offered praise for the honorees. “On behalf of the executive team and the staff of the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center, I congratulate all 69 of you including the four retirees. You have been demonstrably dedicated and committed to your various jobs within this health care system for many years,” said Hill.
“We realize that our mission ‘to drive improvement in the health of those we serve, while exemplifying compassion and respect’ can only be achieved through the efforts that you have exerted over all these years. Collectively, as our CEO indicated, you have contributed 927 years of service to our institution. That is something that we all are proud of,” he said.
The four 2016 retirees had 99 combined years of service. “For the retirees, let me say to you that it is with great appreciation that we thank you for the tremendous contributions you have made to JFL. God speed, and we wish you health, rest and enjoyment in your retirement years,” Hill said.
