Enid Louise Adams Hodge Dies in Georgia

Enid Louise Adams Hodge Enid Louise Adams Hodge, also known as “Niddy,” died peacefully in her sleep, on Monday, Dec. 12, in Stockbridge, Ga. She was 89 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy T. M. Hodge; parents: Gustav Andreas Adams and Alphonsine (Williams) Adams; brothers: Gustav, Ina and Dennis Adams; sister, Beryl (Armstrong) Francis; brother-in-law, Felix Francis; sister-in-law, Adele (Derricks) Adams; nephews: Louis Armstrong, Johnny and Aubrey Adams, Felix Fitzgerald Francis and Elston Adams.

She is survived by her children: Ray Stanley, Veda Mae Hodge and Lue Ann (Hodge) Mayfield: daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hodge; son-in-law, Edward Mayfield; grandchildren: A. Ra, Armond and Akil Hodge; Marcel Rainey, Michael Richardson, JeNai (Mayfield) Bethune and Djeser Hedj Re; great-grandchildren: Justin, Mekhi and McKayla Rainey, Autumn Richardson, Aurora, Miles and Brent James Bethune; great-great-grandchildren: Camdyn and Isabella Rainey; nieces: Winona Patrece (Adams) Hendricks and Myrtle Pemberton; nephews: Dr. Norman Armstrong and Renee Adams; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends too numerous mention.

Special thanks to Keishan Henry, her caregiver in Georgia.

The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Frederiksted. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
