Jane-Ann Fernella Richards-Anthony Dies

Jane-Ann Fernella Richards-AnthonyJane-Ann Fernella Richards-Anthony died Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at the age of 84.

Richards-Anthony was born in Antigua and for almost 30 years divided her time equally between Antigua and St. Croix. She was a former employee at WAPA Richmond Plant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Anthony, to whom she was married for more than 52 years and who died recently.

Survivors include her children, Claudette Hill, Tony and Junior Anthony, and Rebecca Anthony-Milligan, and adoptive son Cortwright Christian; grandchildren: Darien, Joell, and Jelani Hill, Jahmarley and Ethan Anthony, and Halik (AJ) Milligan; great-grandchildren Dakari and Daven Hill; sisters Edris Weekes, Nolarine Joseph, Ethelyn Horsford and Cynthia Richards; brothers Elrose, Elderfield, Patrick, and Kenmore Richards; sisters-in-law Bernadette Richards, Emelda Richards, Antoinette Richards; sons-in-law Mitchell Hill (ex) and Chan (Toughest) Milligan; godchildren Carol Simon, Dornelyn Harris, Sherrane Simon-Isaac, Elaine Mussington, and others; nieces and nephews including Kitichia Weekes, Anthony Weekes, Myles Henry, Charlesworth, Debbie, and Nick Henry, Yvonne, Rudy, Rohan, and Cornell Richards, Inez Richards, Austin Haggerty, Robert Horsford, Ritchie Horsford. Pernell Richards, Deserie Richards, Santosha Joseph, Ian Joseph. Stacey Richards, Blanche Richards, Justin Richards, Anson Richards, Ethelyn Richards, Tyray Richards, Ruthlyn Richards-Wiggins, Reanne Richards, Patrick Richards Jr., Leonardo Richards, Rolston Richards, Timona Richards, Heaven Richards, Tony Richards, Johntue, Ayanna, and Denise Joseph; her many grand-nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

Also surviving are special friends Mr. and Mrs. James Joseph, Lynette Simmons-Orson, Agnes Hamilton, Julice Joseph, Dr. Dane Abbott, Monette Loblack, Irvine Peters, Sylvia Skepple, Ruth Cornelius, Jane Greenaway, Eulalie Josiah and Patrick Cassin; Naomi Christophene Joseph, Anna Almestica, Enoch Lowe, Veronica Kendall Richards, Francene Kendall, Christine Clarke, Arlene Kendall, Giselle Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Grandeson, Jeff Martin, Ivan Ambrose, Elaine Cools-Lartigue, Mark Maxwell, Debra Parris, Maude Phillip, and Helen Gardener, Joan Merchant and Angela as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Divine Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 27, at Central Seventh Day Adventist, 17 A Plessen, with viewing at 10: a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
