John Abraham Weekes Dies

John Abraham Weekes John Abraham Weekes died on Oct. 17. He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Cynthelia Chalmers-Weekes; father, Joseph Abraham Weekes; sister, Lucille Aaron; and nephew, Frenchie Aaron.

He is survived by his spouse, Pamela Weekes; brothers: Noel Osborne and James Nathaniel Chalmers; sisters: Marjorie Sarah Lee, Cynthelia Josephine Chalmers and Venita Mary Weekes; children: Amoy Douglas Weekes and Beatrice Weekes; stepchildren: Osei Harvey and Efrem “EJ” Gumbs-Beckham; adopted stepchildren: Tamika Khan, Jermaine Weekes and Terkesha Weekes; biological grandchildren: Amoy’s children (Brahim Douglas, Brakari Douglas, Biko Zaid Jones) and Beatrice’s children; and step-grandchildren: Semaj Harvey and Simone Harvey.

He is also survived by adopted grandchildren: Tamika’s child, Jermaine’s children (Katianna Weekes and Ny Ziah Weekes), Terkesha Weekes’ children and Tekeshai Weekes; aunts: Mary Osborne and Roselyn Ryan; sisters-in-law: Mavis Chalmers and Winifred Osborne; nieces: Maureen and Joyce Lee, Arlene Jean Morson (UK), Olive Osborne (UK) and Janette Lee (Montserrat); nephews: Ralston Sanga Chalmers, Franklyn Aaron, Arnold Junior Green, Leo and John Osborne, Morvino, Johnnie (UK) and Eddie (UK); and many others relatives and friends to include the Chalmers, Weekes, Sweeney, Wilkins and Daley families, as well as friends at Crucian Taxi and Tours.

A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, at Divine Funeral Service Chapel. A second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, at Beeston Hill Wesleyan Holiness, Beeston Hill.
