Police are investigating the circumstances under which a man was found dead Sunday morning in Estate Hogensberg.
According to VIPD Public Information Officer Glen DDratte, the cause of death has not yet been determined to be a homicide and the case is under "very active" investigation.
The deceased was identified as 36-year-old Romig Francis.
According to the police report, at 8:14 a.m. Sunday the the 911 call center received a report of a suspicious car parked in Estate Hogensberg. Officers arrived on the scene and found a black male, later identified as Francis, in the vehicle. He was unresponsive. Francis was pronounced dead on the scene and transported to the morgue by the morgue attendants.
