WTJX-TV to Cover National Conventions July 18-29

“Democracy Now!” will expand to a daily, two-hour broadcast during the 2016 Republican and Democratic National Conventions. Amy Goodman and the “Democracy Now!” crew will travel to Cleveland and Philadelphia to report from the streets to the suites to the convention floor. Tune in to WTJX-Channel 12 from 8-10 a.m., Monday, July18 through July 29, for their special Republican and Democratic Convention reports on, "Breaking With Convention: War, Peace & the Presidency."
“Democracy Now!” is a national, daily, independent, award-winning news program hosted by journalists Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez, viewed on WTJX weekday mornings at 8 a.m. Pioneering the largest public media collaboration in the U.S., the program’s War and Peace Report provides audiences with access to people and perspectives rarely heard in the U.S. corporate-sponsored media, including independent and international journalists, ordinary people from around the world who are directly affected by U.S. foreign policy, grassroots leaders and peace activists, artists, academics and independent analysts.
Nightly coverage of the Republican and Democratic National Conventions will continue on “PBS Newshour Special Report,” starting at 8 p.m. from July 18-29 on WTJX-TV.
