Erwin La Bast Dies

Erwin La Bast Erwin La Bast, also known as “Labi,” died on Sept. 7.
He is survived by daughter, Aicheline La Bast (Holland); son, Jhorell La Bast (Fla.); sisters: Miriam Greene (St. Croix) and Josefa La Bast (Curacao); brothers: Eric La Bast (Curacao), and Muarits La Bast (Curacao); and grandchildren: Sherdonailon Gerly (Holland), Sharmaine Gerly (Holland), Mianathalia La Bast (Fla.); nieces: Sirelda La Bast (Curacao), Thaisa File (Holland), Thairen Dade (Baltimore), Timara Greene (Ga.), Darlene La Bast (Curacao), Lucillle La Bast (Curacao), Janella La Bast (Holland) and Nayree La Bast (Curacao).
He is also survived by nephews: Lorne Greene (BVI), Trevor La Bast (Curacao), Kennedy File (Holland), Ijel File (Curacao), Randy La Bast (Curacao), Ramsey La Bast (Curacao), Eshly La Bast (Curacao) and Carl Greene; special friends: Sheryl, Ada, Carmen, Davina, Cano, Mora Lito, Dave, Gilbert, Laban, James Charles, Rudolph Henry, Irving Christina, Frederiksted Baptist Church, Pastor John, nurses, doctors, elders, La Paz Hospice, Mrs. Matthew and her crew; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Special thanks go to all those who came and prayed.
There will be viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, at Frederiksted Baptist Church Central.
