Two armed men smashed the glass of the entry door to the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Golden Rock on Wednesday night and robbed the restaurant of an undisclosed amount of cash, the V.I. Police Department reported.
According to the police, at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, 911 dispatchers received a report of a robbery at the restaurant. Responding officers met with the restaurant’s employees, who were unhurt in the incident.
The employees told officers they had already locked the doors of the restaurant as they began their closeout procedures for the evening, when one of workers heard the sound of breaking glass. Two armed men had entered the northern door of the restaurant after having broken the glass of the door with a cinder block.
The two suspects ordered the employees to the ground and demanded money. Taking cash, the mobile phones of the employees, and the restaurant’s phone, the suspects fled the restaurant leaving the employees shaken but unharmed.
