Three Treated After Nightclub Stabbing

Three men were taken to the Schneider Regional Medicval Center early Sunday after being stabbed during a fight on the dance floor of a St. Thomas club.

According to the V.I. Police Department, officers responded at 2:15 a.m. Sunday to reports that several men had been stabbed while inside Metropolis Night Club in Subase. Preliminary information from at least one victim indicates the stabbing took place on the dance floor.

Police encountered two stabbing victims on the stairwell of the business. Those victims were taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. A third victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. All three were treated for various cuts on their bodies.

Police went to the hospital to interview the injured men. One victim told police he was on the dance floor when a fight between two men escalated next to him and he was stabbed. Another victim was in surgery and could not speak to police at that time. Police said the third victim refused to give police any information.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau are following up on the case and urged anyone who was at Metropolis Nightclub and has any information, to call detectives at 1-340-715-5522 or 1-340-715-5516. Information also can be reported by calling the 911 emergency dispatch center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
