VITRAN Suspends Bus Service on January 1

VITRAN Fixed Route Bus Service will be suspended on St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, in observance of New Year’s Day, according to a press release issued Friday by the Department of Public Works.
According to Commissioner Darryl A. Smalls, VITRAN ADA Paratransit service will operate on St. Croix in order to transport persons to and from hemodialysis.
“VITRAN will re-open with full service territory-wide on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013,” Smalls said.
For additional information, contact the VITRAN Bus Terminal at 774-5678 with any questions or concerns.
