Man Shot in Leg at Lindbergh Bay

A man walking in Lindbergh Bay on Sunday was accosted and shot by an unknown gunman, the V.I. Police Department reported.

The 24-year-old victim, whose name was withheld under a department policy not to name victims, told police he was approached by a man in a grey hooded jacket who told him “don’t move,” then fired two or three shots in his direction. The victim was struck in the upper part of his left leg.

He was treated at the Schneider Regional Medical Center.

Detectives continue to investigate this case. Police urged the public to report any information about the shooting by calling detectives at 714-9834 or 715-5522, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
