Burglar May Have Left His Locks Behind

Police on St. Thomas are looking for a freshly shorn burglar who apparently cut his hair after breaking into the Magens Bay concession Sunday.

According to police, security equipment was damaged when the burglar broke in. He also took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Representatives of the Magens Bay concession told police that the suspect apparently cut his hair while inside the building and left several locks strewn about.

The incident is being investigated as a third-degree burglary by detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Police urged the public to report any information they have about the crime by calling detectives at 714-9834 or 715-5522, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
