Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas Appoints Cliff Brutus Director of Sales and Marketing

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas has announced the recent appointment of Cliff Brutus to director of sales and marketing. In this role, Brutus will utilize his 15 plus years of experience in overseeing all sales, marketing, advertising and public relations efforts for the 30-acre luxury oceanfront resort on St. Thomas.
“Cliff brings a tremendous amount of passion and experience to The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, and we are thrilled to have him back with us in the Caribbean,” said General Manager Bernd Kuhlen. “We are eager to leverage Cliff’s talents as we are confident he will be instrumental in leading the next chapter of growth for our spectacular St. Thomas landmark.”
Brutus has an intimate understanding of The Ritz-Carlton brand and the St. Thomas hospitality landscape having led the transient sales efforts for five resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico region from 2006 to 2011, including The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas. His strong relationships, strategic mindset and sales approach provided him the opportunity to move to Cap Juluca in Anguilla as director of sales and marketing where he has been since April 2011. Prior to his position as area director of transient sales
with The Ritz-Carlton, he held various sales and hotel operations leadership roles at Noble House Hotels & Resorts and Island Outpost in Miami, Fla.
A native of New York, Brutus graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.
