Paquita Marrero Figueroa Dies at 87

Paquita Marrero Figueroa
Paquita Marrero Figueroa, also known as "Mama," of Mon Bijou died on Thursday, May 19, at the Herbert Grigg Home. She was 87 years old.
She is survived by her spouse, Faustino Figueroa; daughters: Augustina B. Peña, Juanita Bermudez, Epifana B. Delerme and Ruth N. Cruz; son: Juan Bermudez Jr.; grandchildren: Samuel, Norma, Angela, Liza and Jesse Peña, Miguel, Lydia, Gladys, Janie, Evelyn and Elizabeth Peña, Migdalia, Ruth and Santiago Ruiz, Wanda, Iris and Joanna Bermudez, Rina and Rhodylina Valdes, and Juan M. Cruz; and great grandchildren: Michael Peguero, Michael and Renee Peña, Pedro de la Cruz, Alex, Melissa and George Felix, Louis, Yaritza and Jamil Jr., Ali, Jamil and Jamillie Perez, Erikson and Sonsirez Robles, Khyle and Kimberly Encarnacion, Richard Jr. and Lizbeth Pagan, Nelson and Ashley Garcia, Gislynn Belardo, Angel A. Moralez, Stefanie and Yesenia Garcia, Myrka Rivera and Rocco Whitaker.
She is also survived by sons-in-law: Amador Delerme and Miguel Cruz; nieces: Migdalia Bermudez, Lydia M. Denis, Neida Marrero, Tabitha Miranda, Lucy Marrero, Angela Marrero, Anabelen Cirelo and Finy Encarnacion; nephews: Julio, Alejo, Samuel, Israel and Benjamin Miranda, Victor Marrero, Rufo Marrero, Samuel Marrero and Nesto Marrero; great nieces: Carmen, Virgina and Mota Marrero; special friends: Joaquin Mercado and Benita Solis; as well as other friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
There will be a gathering celebration held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at Sunny Acres Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery. Celebration attire will be appreciated.
