Eugenia Ortega Dies at 80

Eugenia Ortega, also known as "Jeña," of Estate Sion Farm died on April 21 at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 80 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Angela Ortega de Serrano and Maria E. Ortega de Delgado; beloved grandsons: Mario Castro and David Heywood; special grandchildren: Joel Castro, Adrian Martinez, Michael, Jeanelle Heywood and Marc A. Ortega; special great grandsons: Joel Castro Jr. and Mario Castro Jr.; eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law to be: Tammy; special nieces and nephew: Carmen Maldonado, Nancy Torres and Juan Serrano as well as many other nephews and nieces; brothers: Juan, Jesus, Jose and Pedro Reyes Melendez; sisters: Carmen, Antonia and Gloria Reyes Melendez; sons-in-law: Luis Serrano and Patrick Delgado; brothers-in-law: Gaspar Navarro and Roberto Ortiz; sisters-in-law: Luz M. Reyes, Otilia Reyes and Fransisca Reyes; special friend: Karen MacIntosh; many other friends from the neighborhood of Sion Farm; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 2, at the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
