Cyril Augustan Violenus Dies at 89

Cyril Augustan Violenus, also known as "Chino” or “Vio," of Estate Strawberry Hill died on March 16 at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 89 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Winifred Eliza Richardson Violenus; daugthers: Elsa Hunt, Wilma Edwards, Carmen Watts, Rosita Violenus and Yvonne Violenus; son, Ralph Andy Violenus; stepdaughters: Rosie Gardener, Joycelyn Mulraine, Patricia Gloade, Sonia Byron, Elenore Rowland, George and Beverly Rowland; stepsons: Jerome Richardson and Austin Rowland Jr.; son-in-law, Sylvester Edwards; grandchildren: Tarnie, Gary, Lorry and Gerry Hunt, Percy, Sandra and Sharon Violenus, Shyanka and Shanna Edwards, Dougle and Remy Watts, and Rockuel Suarez; 15 great-grandchildren; special friends: Samuel Taylor, Douglas Watts, Dorothy Joseph and family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Kingshill Cemetery.
