National Park Service Announces Temporary Road Closure

On Monday, Aug. 2, the National Park Service will conduct a temporary road closure from 5-11 a.m. on the north end of Company Street between Hospital Street and Church Street. The closure will allow Oliver Exterminating Inc boom trucks to place their tarps on the Steeple Building roof and the church cupola in preparations for whole building termite fumigation.

In order to accomplish this activity safely, the Park Service requests the cooperation of the public to work with them and the V.I. Police Department to implement a temporary closure and re-direct south bound Company Street traffic up Queen Street.
For more information, contact the NPS at 773-1460, ext. 234 or 235.
The NPS appreciates the public’s assistance with this activity to improve the Steeple Building historic preservation for years to come.
