Maria Agatha Derricks Dies at 91

Maria Agatha Derricks Maria Agatha Derricks of Sion Farm died on July 22, at her residence. She was 91 years old.

She is survived by her daughters: Louise Derrick, Merle Derricks Finley, Leona Derricks Lynch and Cassandra Thompson; adpted daughters: Cherelene Johnson and Leona Samuel; grandchildren: Melissa Derricks Sylvester, Henry Derricks Jr., Lawrence Derricks, Edna D. Derricks, Corinne Derricks Nugent, Larry A. Finley Jr., Leahnate Finley-Williams, Lerone Finley, Pamela Lynch, Herman Lynch Jr., Tricia Lynch, Timothy Lynch, Kimberly-Ann Benjamin Daniel, Patricia Hall, James A. Hall Jr., Duania Hall, Leo-Ben Hall, Mercita Hall, Shenett Camacho and Ronald Thompson; and 44 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Etienne Derricks; sons-in-law: Larry A. Finley Sr. and James A. Hall; brother, Vincent Benjamin; nieces: Cherelene Johnson (adopted daughter), Altagracia Serrano Barnes, Corinne Gaskin Foster, Anastacia Gaskin and Nicole Benjamin; nephews: Cordell Johnson, Vincent Benjamin Jr. and Charles Alphonso Benjamin; special friends: Yvonne Horton, Alicia Turner-Bey, Melba Charles and family, Gerald Herbert, Jerome Bryan Jr., Evelyn Derricks, Hermen Lynch Sr., Elisa James Hill, Esther Phillip and Derek Benjamin; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
