Lourita Hazell Dies at 50

Lourita HazellLourita Hazell, also known as “Lou Lou,” died on Jan. 21, at her residence. She was 50 years old.

She is survived by her mother, Iona Coker; father, Kenneth Garvey; husband, Lemuel Hazell; daughters: Latoya Garvey Hazell and Keystie Garvey Hazell; adopted daughters: Julia Brathwaite, Marcia Buckley and Tamisha Antoine; brother, Emel Tudor; stepbrother, Charles Warner; and sisters: Eumera Whithe and Yvonne Tudor. She is also survived by brothers-in-law: Elsworth Walters, Wellington Hazell and Sinclair Hazell; sisters-in-law: Laurine Hazell, Louise Hazell, Sylvia Walters and Bernice Brown; niece, Shonda White; nephews: Chavane White, Cheavis Tudor, Craig Tudor, Randy White and Bevon White; aunts: Enid Hodge, Beryl Tudor and Irene Parris; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a first viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a second viewing at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, at Christchurch Methodist, Market Square. Interment will follow at Eastern Cemetery.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
