Police are investigating the death of an unidentified woman whose body was found Sunday in Paul M. Pearson Gardens housing community on St. Thomas.
The body was discovered by a law enforcement officer assigned to the V.I. Superior Court, who contacted police and called 911 around 11:15 p.m. Sunday, according to a V.I. Police Department news release.
The woman was found facedown on the sidewalk and appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Police have not released her identity.
The case is being investigated by Major Crimes detectives, and police are asking anyone with information to call police at 715-5522 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
