The twenty-year success of Mango Tango Art Gallery on St. Thomas is the result of a unique relationship between the artists it represents and the gallery owners, Jane Coombes and Smokey Pratt. Coombes explains that "the artists give us exclusivity and total commitment to creating great art, and in return we give them exhibition space, marketing power, and encouragement to take risks."
For 15 years the gallery has been located on Route 38 in the Al Cohen Plaza across from Randy’s Bistro. The 1800 square foot gallery features original paintings, sculpture, wood turning, and limited and open edition prints. To package the art on view, quality picture framing is offered. In 2008, Mango Tango opened a second location in Yacht Haven Grande, next to the coffee shop. Mango Tango Seaside Art Gallery offers the largest selection of art in the St. Thomas. During the monthly art shows between November and May both galleries present the work of talented emerging artists, as well as the creations of Caribbean artists with international recognition.
