Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge Sets Up Book Distribution Centers

July 2, 2009 – Students from kindergarten through eighth grade in all public and private schools are invited to participate in the Governor John P. de Jongh’s Summer Reading Challenge. They may come to the distribution centers to receive a journal and the first two free books, and should return to receive their next set of books. Parents are asked to be involved with their children’s reading and sign the tracking forms in order for the student to receive new books. Students who read 10 books or more are eligible for a special celebration with the Governor.
On St. Croix, the centers are:

On St. Thomas, the centers are:

Adelita Cancryn Junior High School
On St. John, the center is:

The centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday.
