Jan. 24, 2007 – The Evelyn Marcelli Elementary and Bertha C. Boschulte Middle Schools will close on Friday, Jan. 26, to allow personnel and students to attend funeral services for former teacher Judith Hodge-Thomas.
Thomas was a veteran educator of the Evelyn E. Marcelli Elementary School for more than 30 years. She was also the wife of BCB Assistant Principal Lamont Thomas.
Acting District Superintendent for St. Thomas-St. John Lisa Hassel-Forde said, "The entire school district mourns the passing of Mrs. Hodge. She was a dedicated teacher and a wonderful human being. Our thoughts and prayers are with Assistant Principal Thomas and his family during this very difficult time."
