UVI Tennis Players Have Shot to Be Tops

Nov. 7, 2005 – The University of the Virgin Islands qualified in men's doubles for the Organization of Inter-University Sports tennis championships to be played Nov. 11-13 at the Buccaneer Hotel on St.Croix. UVI participated in its third qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico in the end of October.
Alex Dennis and David Hartzell finished in third position to qualify for the ODI tennis doubles championships. Both Dennis and Hartzell had already qualified in the number one and two singles positions respectfully earlier last month in Puerto Rico.
They are joined by Lady Buc Heather Addor as UVI's only female to qualify. With Dennis and Hartzell qualifying for both singles and doubles UVI men's team has an outside chance at the ODI men's tennis title.
