MARINE TRADE SHOW AT AYH

The general public is invited and encouraged to come to American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook this Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. for the Marine Trade Show.
"We're thrilled with the response of the business community," said Judy Knape, executive director of the Virgin Islands Charteryacht League, sponsoring organization of the trade show and the 25th Annual Charteryacht Show being held this week..
"We expect 40 businesses to participate in the trade show, offering a huge variety of products and services of interest to the general public as well as the boating community. There will be exhibits of interest to everyone, whether they've ever been in a boat or not."
The Marine Trade Show is planned as the final event of the charteryacht show, which is being held at Crown Bay Marina. On Saturday evening, the boat show participants will be bused out to Red Hook for an evening at the trade show, after the general public has had a chance to meet with the exhibitors during the afternoon.
The Red Hook business community, led by Corrine Van Rensselaer of Color of Joy and Fred and Kathy Zeller of Cool Signs and Dolphin Dreams, are setting up the show. Several types of business are represented, including: airlines, chandleries, captain's training school, marine supplies, engines, hotels, surveyors, restaurant suppliers, restaurants, rental boats, hair products, electric cars and bikes, insurance, canvas and sail makers, and many more. (A list of participating businesses is appended.)
"We cordially invite the public to join us Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. to learn about what our business community has to offer us, while they stroll through the lovely grounds and shops of American Yacht Harbor." Knape said. "There will be fun for everyone."
