Man Stabbed to Death in Williams Delight

A 55-year-old man was found stabbed to death Saturday in the Williams Delight area, and the V.I. Police Department is looking for a person of interest who goes by the name of “Eddie.”

According to the VIPD report, at around 7:42 p.m. police were notified of a stabbing at Main Street on the corner of 6th Avenue in Williams Delight. Responding officers discovered 55-year-old Berchan Joseph lying on the roadway unresponsive. He died at the scene from his injuries, police said, and was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty at the Juan F. Luis Hospital emergency room.

The Criminal Investigations Bureau was reportedly looking for a person of interest who goes by the name of “Eddie,” a black male in his late 40s or early 50s who hangs out by the grocery store at the Williams Delight entrance on the Queen Mary Highway.

Police urged anyone with information regarding this person to call 911 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
